Construction

The concrete and steel structures along Edward Street are nearing completion.
Once this has concluded, the building of the internal walls will commence, alongside service works.

Community Celebration

The local community event was hosted at the Flour Mill Display Suite on Thursday 23 June. Locals provided the food and drinks to celebrate the next stages of the Flour Mill of Summer Hill.

Scott Marsh

A temporary art installation has been set up on the Smith Street site entrance. Local graffiti artist, Scott Marsh has created a mural inspired by the Flour Mill site and his own person history there. He tells the Inner West Courier, ““It was easy for me. When I was a kid, I used to paint graffiti in the canals across the tracks from Lewisham. For me, the site has always been somewhere to paint.”

Stage Two Construction:

The construction of the silo apartments began in the last quarter with the builders (Watpac) beginning to cut out the walls of the silos. The concrete has been poured in the silo base. The concrete and steel structures along Edward Street are progressing well.
