Stage Two | Construction Updates

As you approach settlement in the second half of 2017, you will be hearing from EG and Colliers International about the pre-settlement inspections and your lawyers will no doubt be in touch regarding the required paperwork.

Current Construction:

While Stage Two is still a wall of scaffolding, behind the blue curtain the silo window openings have all been created, so you can now peep through and see where each apartment will be.

The internal scaffolding is due to be removed. The internal loop road is currently under construction.

The tower crane will be coming down around February – March 2017.

Our next update in March 2017 will have more details around next steps for Stage Two purchasers

Construction Updates | Stages 3 and 4 | December 2016

You’ll be able to receive all the current construction news, all in one handy place!

Stage 3 and 4 have received Development Approval and are currently tendering for a construction company. This means that all the activity you see on site is still Stage 1 and 2 and part of the retail areas.

Once construction begins, we’ll be posting photos and emailing quarterly updates to all the newsletter subscribers and purchasers.

Stage One settlement is approaching!

Progress at the Flour Mill of Summer Hill continues, as the scaffolding is being removed and the unique façades of the buildings in Stage 1 are being revealed. The buildings which form part of this stage are:

• Building 4A
• Building 4B
• Building 4C

The first apartment’s interior has been completed (below) and the kitchens and bathrooms in all apartments are currently being installed. Painting and flooring works are also close to being completed in many apartments.

At this stage, we believe that pre-settlement inspections for all buildings within Stage 1 are likely to take place in late March with settlement to follow closely behind.

We will continue to keep you up to date on the progress at the Flour Mill over the next few months.

Lost penguin found in Summer Hill

This poor little guy was found by two local residents out for a morning stroll.

The penguin was found in the Hawthorne Canal, just moments from the Flour Mill site. The two rescuers, Josh Pirini and Scott Martin, allegedly followed the penguin for three hours before he was able to be rescued.

The Sydney Morning Herald has footage of the penguin waddling around and generally having a good time in the canal.

The RSPCA took in the lost penguin, who apart from being a little underweight, was healthy enough to be returned to the wild.

In addition to Summer Hill’s local pet pony, the suburb is becoming quite the hub of eclectic animal discoveries.
