SUMMER HILL NEIGHBOURHOOD FEAST 2018

Organised by the Inner West Council, the annual Summer Hill Neighbourhood Feast returns this year to showcase some of the best restaurants and eateries in the local community. A celebration of the area’s rich and diverse culture, the street festival boasts numerous food stalls that serve a wide variety of different cuisines including Asian, Italian, Middle Eastern, Thai and more in the heart of Summer Hill..

The event will feature entertainment from dance performances to eating competitions to live music, courtesy of local artists. The kids won’t be forgotten either with a play park, jumping castle, petting zoo and face painting on offer.

The festival will be held on Sunday, 7 October 2018 at the Lackey and Smith Streets, just a couple of blocks away from the Flour Mill.

Join Us at the Grains Festival

We are very excited to be hosting the inaugural Flour Mill of Summer Hill Grains Festival this Sunday 1 July from 10am to 3pm. The Festival will be a great opportunity for the Summer Hill community to come together and celebrate with great produce from Knafeh, Sonoma, Brickfields, Baked by Keiran, Brooklyn Boy Bagels, Farm Wholefoods, Young Henrys, Capital Brewing Co and many more. We are particularly pleased to provide support to Lewisham P&C who will be running a jumping castle to support the school and keep the kids entertained while you sample the delicious food. It is a great opportunity for you to meet the rest of the Flour Mill Community, introduce yourself to your future neighbours and start new friendships.

There is also a contest with prizes worth $5,000 to be won! Just come to the Grains Festival, take a photo of the community art installation, and upload it on Instagram. And don’t forget to tag us (@flourmillcommunity) in your photo.

And with a beautiful Winter’s day forecast the Festival will be a great opportunity to lift your gloomy winter spirits. So please come along, meet your neighbours and enjoy a lovely day that pays tribute to the iconic heritage of your new home! RSVP here.
